Red Arrow Soccer Club

The RASC Academy program is for U7/U8 aged kids and designed with a focus on having fun playing the game of soccer. RASC Academy players will practice generally once per week and will attend 4 "Jamborees" per season which are organized by the West Michigan Youth Soccer Association (WMYSA). The Jamboree format consists of 3-4 small sided games where the teams rotate so that they may play kids from other clubs in the league. The small sided games are of a 4v4 format with no goaltender. This format allows kids more touches on the ball and introduces kids to the idea of a full team defense and a full team offense. It further gives kids the chance to experiment with the game and most importantly to have fun.

The RASC Academy program has two sessions. One if fall and one in spring. The fall session begins in approximately late August and runs through mid October. Practice days and times will be dertermined by the coaching staff and may change from season to season. Each Jamboree will be scheduled by WMYSA and will be available prior to the start of the season. 3 of the Jamborees are played at the Kalamazoo Community Soccer Complex and the 4th is held in the St. Joseph area.

The fee for the Academy program is $75 for the year. Players will receive weekly practices, 8 Jamborees and a Red Arrow Socer Club t-shirt uniform. There are also opportunities for winter training and indoor soccer or futsal during the winter months. (indoor soccer and futsal are a seperate fee and dependent on team participation levels).
